We are well situated for access from many directions and very well served by
public transport. We are OUTSIDE the Congestion Charging
Zone. At its nearest points to us it borders the main
roads Commercial Street, Great Eastern Street and City
Road ~ you may drive along these roads without entering
the Zone. If you are a visitor to London and travelling
by bus you might like to know that in Central London
and on some specific routes (No. 149 for instance) you
have to buy your ticket before boarding.
BY
TUBE
Old Street is the nearest tube station.
Take exit 2 from the station and it is about 10 minutes walk
or you can catch a bus (243); Liverpool Street station is less
than a mile from the shop and there are plenty of buses (26,
35, 48, 78, 149, 242).
BY
BUS
Northbound and southbound buses nos.
67, 149, 242 & 243 stop outside the Geffrye Museum (well
worth a visit). For other buses (26, 35, 48, 55, 78) get off
at Shoreditch Church/High Street and walk up Kingsland Road.
BY
TRAIN
The nearest British Rail stations are
Old Street, Dalston Kingsland, Cambridge Heath or Liverpool
Street, all only a short bus ride away.
BY
CAR OR BIKE
We have our own car park at the rear
of the shop where customers are welcome to park (not suitable
for very high vehicles). The access is via Falkirk Street.
Don’t be tempted to park on the main road except in the
designated spaces ~ it’s a Red Route and the traffic wardens
can be lethal.
There are places directly in front of the shop for chaining
up bicycles and we can supply a chain and lock if you’ve
forgotten yours.
