| Although any paper can be used
for drawing, the term “Drawing Cartridge”
generally describes a lightweight paper with a slight
tooth. The papers in this section are suitable for pencil,
charcoal and other dry media. Some will accept a light
wash but if you intend to add a lot of water we would
suggest you try a watercolour paper for better results. |

Also used as an edition paper, we stock Heritage in 160g in
a slightly bigger than A1 size. It has a good tooth for drawing.
If “acidfree” is your main concern this one has
a full archival specification. It is made from Alpha Cellulose
woodpulp, is calcium carbonate buffered to pH8.5 and has no
optical brighteners. |

This popular paper is white with an even texture and a matt
finish. It is acidfree and chlorine free. It comes in 140g in
A1, A2, A3 and A4. |

We stock this because it is BIG. 1000x1400 (54”x40”).
It is 270g – heavier than our smaller drawing papers but
necessarily so in order to support its size. It is also suitable
for printmaking (primarily screenprints and lithographs). |

This is the only paper in our drawing section which does not
claim to be neutral pH so it should not be used for pictures
which you hope might last forever. It is nonetheless great value
and ideal for price conscious bulk users. It is lightweight
(100g), off white and available in A1, A2, A3 and A4. |

Rolls of paper are great for the flexibility they offer. Easy
to carry, big size – which you can cut down if you want,
convenient storage, simple for mail order. Bear in mind though
that you will need to flatten it before you can work on it.
Fabriano 4 comes in 2 choices, 200g NOT surface or 220g HP surface.
They are quite robust, bright white and 1.5m x 10m (approx 5’
x11yards)

but only one surface – matt. This is a cheaper paper.
