Basically a cruder form of gouache with a lower pigment concentration,
poster colours are used extensively by children in and out of
school because their low cost allows them to be used without
inhibition. We keep 568ml bottles of readymix poster paint in
15 basic colours (including an essential “Barbie”
pink).

Mix this with water to make a smooth, creamy, opaque paint or
sprinkle on to glue for a velvetty effect. This requires more
preparation than poster colour but encourages experiment. Experience
has taught me that it begins to flake off within months. Non

These are the solid blocks of non-toxic water soluble opaque
paint which we all remember from school. We stock the deep well
palettes which you keep them in and which make them quick and
easy to clear away. |

This is a really excellent face paint which is easy to apply,
washes off easily and is suitable for use on small children.
In addition to the individual pans of colour we sell a fun selection
of themed starter kits "Wild" for animal faces, "Disco
Dazzle" for the little princesses, "Freaky FX"
complete with lumps, bruises and blood for the more ghoulish.
The most basic is "Rainbow" which I have used extensively
at nursery fetes and contains enough for painting 50 faces.
The sets come complete with sponge - invaluable, and brush (though
I much prefer a middle sized sable which is soft, accurate and
keeps its point) and a leaflet with helpful hints. |
