| Varnishes for acrylic come in
two main types, acrylic based, which can often be used
as a medium too, or solvent based. The main difference
is that a solvent based varnish can be removed (albeit
painstakingly). Although varnishing is not absolutely
necessary it gives the slightly porous surface of the
paint protection against dust and dirt. It can also be
used to give uniform sheen to the surface. |

This is our most popular acrylic varnish because it is in aerosol
form. It is available in Gloss or Matt/Eggshell, is non-yellowing,
dries in a few hours and can also be used on oil paint.
