One of the first companies to start making acrylic paint in the USA, Liquitex has moved with the times pioneering new mediums and extending their range whilst maintaining their top quality. Liquitex acrylics are now available in Heavy Body, Soft Body and Super Heavy Body.

HEAVY BODY
This range of 100 brilliant colours is of the highest quality with superb tinting strength and covering power. They have a firm buttery consistency and can be applied to many surfaces. Firm enough to retain brushmarks it dries to a flexible paint film. All colours are available in 59ml tubes and 36 are also available in the economical 138ml tube size.

Talens has recently improved and updated this range of student quality acrylics and it is now an excellent range of 70 colours in 120ml tubes. (50 of the range are available in 500ml pots and we stock Black and White in 1 litre pots.) As well as all the traditional colours there are 7 metallics, 4 fluorescents and a range of pastels and pinks and purples not always easy to make by mixing.

The paint has good colour strength and good permanence with x of the colours permanent for over 100 years. Talens have recently acknowledged the public preference for opacity in acrylic paint and have made the blacks and whites much more so and added extra opaque colours to the range. Don't worry though there is still a good range of transparents and the clear labelling makes it easy to weigh up all the possibilities when buying Amsterdam Acrylics.
We have new look more functional packing too. The 500ml plastic pots are of softer clearer plastic now which means you can see the colour inside more easily and the paint is easy to squeeze out to the last drop. The mouth of the jar is wide so you can get your palette knife in and the lid is flat so you can store upside down.

Ultra thick acrylic colours with a heavy buttery consistency like oil colour. They dry to a glossy finish within 24 hours and are ideal for impasto work. Like all acrylics they are soluble in water so no solvents are required and they are suitable for most surfaces and for outdoor use. Available in 18 colours in 225ml tubes.
