Whether to categorise a brush
by the hair or fibre with which it is made or by the use
to which it is put? As ever with artists’ materials
and tools we can categorise them as intended for one purpose
and someone will tell us that they use it for another.
I have, therefore, decided to describe our brushes in
sections according to what they are made of and to include
their principle uses there.
