There are thousands of pens
available for art and non-art uses. We stock a large range
for writing and drawing on every sort of surface, waterproof,
watersoluble, metallic, pearlised, pigment based and cheap
and cheerful for kids use. For specific art uses we have
traditional penholders and nibs for drawing and calligraphy.
Somewhere between is the Rotring Art Pen which is a cartridge
pen but with a drawing or a calligraphy nib enabling you
to use it instantly and without carrying a bottle of ink.

ECOLINE

For use with pens or brushes Ecoline is used by designers and
illustrators for its vibrant glowing colours. In a range of
48 colours including a metallic gold the colours are transparent
(except white and metallic) and intense but sadly they are not
as lightfast as traditional pigmented watercolours. |

Traditional shellac based waterproof drawing ink in 18 transparent
colours plus black and white.

Polyester based inks in a range of 30 colours. They can be thinned
to some degree with water without losing their waterproof quality.

We stock black inks from several different manufacturers for
their subtly different qualities. Higgins Black Magic is prized
for its semi-matt high opacity and it does not run on drafting
film. Talens Indian Ink is a highly pigmented shellac based
ink for brush and pen work. Mitchell Penstyle Ink is designed
for use with Mitchell calligraphy pens
