Paintworks will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by the use of any items provided by Paintworks beyond the replacement of goods deemed to be faulty. At no time will Paintworks liability exceed the price paid for the items purchased. This does not affect your statutory rights

All timings given for deliveries or collection of work will be understood to be approximate.

Although every care and attention is given to any work left with us for framing all customers are advised to take their own precautions to ensure their work is fully covered against loss or damage.Customers providing their own materials for us to work do so on the understanding that Paintworks cannot be held responsible for any mistakes or accidents which may occur to those materials.

A deposit of 50% is required for all orders with the balance payable on completion. Paintworks reserves the right to require full payment before commencing work on any order.

No work may be removed from Paintworks until payment has been received in full. Credit facilities will only be offered to private individuals or companies who have opened a trade account with us. UK orders from schools, colleges & other public institutions will be accepted on receipt of an offical written order with invoice on completion.

We do not accept orders for framing over the telephone but we will accept them by fax or e-mail as long as we are provided with credit or debit card details to cover the required deposit.

While we always endeavour to ensure that any estimate we give is as accurate as possible the final price for any work cannot be confirmed until a firm order is placed.

Due to technical limitations of machinery our tolerance parameters are +/-2mm. While most work will be far more accurate we are unable to guarantee higher precision than this. If you require higher precision this must be stated at the time of placing an order and we will price the work accordingly or advise that it is not possible.

The grain of wood varies from piece to piece. While great care is taken to select matching timber we cannot guarantee complete matching (particularly on large frames), freedom from knots & other natural figuring, or that frames will match the grain of sample pieces.

Stain samples are an approximate indicator of frame colour; we cannot guarantee exact matching. Final frame colour will depend on the base wood colour. Please note that the colour of wood changes with age & this will in turn affect stain colours. Many stains are dye based and will also be affected by the level of exposure to light.
