Woven with two yarns together in the warp and a single yarn
in the weft, cotton duck provides a strong, smooth surface perfect
for many types of media.
We stock unprimed cotton duck in two widths: 6 feet (1.82m)
and 9 feet (2.74m). We have three weights in the smaller width:
10oz. , 12oz. , and a substantial 15oz. In the wider rolls we
stock 12oz. weight.

Calico benefits from being more affordable than cotton duck
but is not as strong or tightly woven. Better suited to temporary
works and those just starting out, Calico is available by the
metre from a (2.74m) roll.

Woven from the thin, consistent fibres of the Flax plant; linen
offers the strongest and smoothest surface to paint on. Sealed
with Rabbit Skin glue and primed, linen has offered the preferred
surface for oil painters for hundreds of years.
We offer two types of unprimed linen, 84" in width:
Extra Fine linen and Fine Grain Artists' linen.
