Our new easy cut lino is 3.2mm thick and available in 8 sizes.

A handy tip when using lino is to abrade the surface with a little water and a very fine wet-and-dry paper (about 400 grit or higher) before you start cutting the block. This gives a smooth printing surface which needs less ink to produce a good print without those little speckles characteristic of an unsanded block. Wipe the block clean and leave to dry before starting to cut.

Best of all for children is this excellent new material to substitute for the lino. It's much easier to cut, doesn't crumble and meets all the relevant safety directives. It's light in colour so you can draw your design on first then cut through the super smooth surface with ease. It gives crisp sharp lines and it is easy to clean. SOFT CUT SILHOUETTE
Adds a new dimension to block cutting, like scraperboard it has one colour on the surface and another underneath making it easier to envisage what your print will look like but also making an artwork of the block itself.

Similar to foam boards but without the laminated kraft surfaces. Used for printmaking with children, it can be scored into with a pencil instead of cutting with knives etc

The good quality robust lino printing rollers favoured by schools and made in England.
Made from durable polypropylene they have red handles with self lubricating nylon bearings.

The same exacting standards of manufacture as the standard roller but with a higher ink capacity these rollers are distinguishable by their black handles.

These sets contain a sturdy red plastic handle plus a number of different shaped cutters made from high carbon steel. Simply fit your chosen cutter into the handle and tighten the expandable collar to secure it. The cutters are precision ground to the angle best suited to provide effortless lino cutting.

SAFETY LINO CUTTERS
Using the same handle and made in the same way as our regular cutters, these safety cutters have specially designed "wings" to allow safe cutting to an exact depth. They are perfect for younger or inexperienced users providing a consistent clean-cut line every time.

HAND GUARD
This easy to hold plastic guard with which you grip the lino block affords protection for the hand whilst cutting.

Highly pigmented oil-based colour for lino printing. The process colours can be overprinted to produce an effect similar to 4-colour print. Watersoluble whilst wet, so equipment can be cleaned in warm soapy water.
