Hog hair is ideal for painting
with oils and acrylics. The bristle is firm and springy
and a good quality hog will hold plenty of paint and retain
its shape whilst painting. Bristle brushes are too hard
for use with watercolour.

This is an economical alternative to Series A. It has a shorter
handle and there is a choice of flat, round or filbert shapes.
It is reasonable quality and ideal for children because of
its shorter handle and realistic price.

In flat or round these brushes are made in China from cut
hair. They are no-frills brushes which, nonetheless have a
useful place in an art shop.
If you intend to throw your brush away after use, you are
providing brushes for an acrylic class where there is doubt
that the brushes will be washed properly or you are on a tight
budget these are for you.

POINTED SASH series 203
A sash brush, as its name describes, is intended for painting
window sashes. The fullness of the bristle tapering to a point
also makes it a compelling oil painters brush especially good
for large paintings.
Series 203 is a beautiful brush with a medium length handle
and a copper ferrule. Size starts at 000 and rises to number
8 which is a whopper.
